Yesterday I had a Birthday Revolution - so here’s what happened
My good deeds were I bought candy for my coworkers to share and visited my two best friends and their three year old son. I brought the son a Transformers coloring book, the mother flowers, and the husband beer since he had a bad day at work. I also played with the son (my favorite kid in the whole wide world) so his mom could fix dinner in peace.
I cut fresh flowers and gave them to an awesome dude
So. My good deed is kind of a deep one. I’ve been schooling my sister (she’s 7 years older than me) on how hazing in high school (to the level for which she described for my 13 year old niece in her high school sorority) is bullying! And how it’s not cool and she needs to stop it! Anyway…I think it’s a positive cause! Happy Berfday!
I made a key lime swirled cheesecake to take to my office tomorrow… even though they don’t particularly deserve it! I agree with Lori Wescott, you get far more awesome every year! Love you and happy birthday!
I’ve been babysitting Alisha’s bulldog so they could go camping!!
I took out the trash and did the dishes for my roommates!
Today I’m going to video tape my son for an interview about his Dad for Father’s Day. Also, I haven’t spanked my kid so far today, so that’s for you too.
Today I treated Kristian and myself to some delicious Buzzys AND planned a movie night, complete with pizza and candy-for all the patients and families on on the pediatric floor!
After working today, I’m helping an elderly friend by transcribing our 40+ hrs of recorded interviews, essentially I’m helping him write his memoirs, his story. Tonight’s writing hours will be donated in honor of your birthday! Ahem! And some red wine, of course! Hope it’s lovely!
I helped 2 elderly people in to their vehicles (and tried to steal one’s wheelchair, but totally by accident). I told corny jokes at lunch and got some laughs. I donated more then the requested amount for a co-workers going away gift. And bonus for me, I got a gift of 8 AA batteries as a “reward” for doing a case today! And they are duracell!!
I met hubby for lunch and bought a book for my sister-in-law (that is not one of my favorite people) just because it was about something I knew interests her.
We moved into our new apartment today and I think that is making the world smile.
I bought a friend lunch, avoided a head on collision with a speeding ambulance and threw an impromptu ice cream party at my office with my best friend! We raise a cone to you!
I skipped a shower this morning - yay saving the environment!
I did my first of 2 workouts today at 5 AM, treated myself to a cupcake for breakfast (it’s your birthday!) and got off work at noon! Updated all my mailings to my new address and was nice to my creepy next door neighbor who participated by sharing his internet access for last week I’m here! Although I’m 92% sure that’s just so he can hack into my computer and spy on…..I’m kidding, my next door neighbor is an awesome guy, very handsome and not at all creepy, he is a great guy.
I slept in til 11 and now going to slowly make my way to a Mexican lunch fiesta where I shall partake in an adult beverage and over tip my server. I am even wearing my Mexican dress for the occasion. :) Feliz cumpleanos my dear! Ole!!!
Just spent 4 hours volunteering at a fireworks stand that is raising money for a local community (redundant?) theater, my poetry/spoken word event (The Boxcar Voices), and the UNA Gay-Straight Alliance. Happy Birthday, Wade!
Wore flip flops to work today. Not sandals, not espadrilles — good ol’ fashioned $2 Old Navy flip flops. On the drive in, I MURDERED “You Make My Dreams Come True” by Hall and Oates. I’ll also be taking an extra long lunch today. Viva el revolution!
Today I’m off work anyway (amazingly), and going to spend the day with my family, and play some games with my daughter this evening.
Today I am going to finish laundry, clean the cat box, and recaulk the bathtub. And I will do all of this while praying for world peace.
I managed to create and sustain world peace for .0005467 seconds in honor of your fabulous day. Then I woke up. But I really did toast you with a raspberry Italian ice popcicle!! I might even have another! Yes, I AM that bold!! Much love, hugs & kisses to you!
Happy, Happy Birthday Wade! I went to see my friend in Pensacola and took Dylan and Reese to the Children’s Museum. Here’s to celebrating you!
Happy Birthday Wade! On this day with you in mind we took Will to swimming lessons (as to avoid a second generation from falling into Papa’s pool while mom simultaneously dives in to save them - in shallow water, no less) AND Will totally rocked a headband while he played Jason’s awesome air guitar…all in you honor! We love you!
On your birthday I took a stroll to the Capitol and enjoyed the beautiful trees and flowers!

I wonder what it was like riding it?
